Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup butterscotch chips

1 cup shredded coconut

1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. Make the Base Layer: In a medium bowl, mix melted butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Add flour and stir until just combined.
  3. Press and Bake: Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then remove from the oven.
  4. Add Toppings: Sprinkle the chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts over the partially baked base.
  5. Pour the Milk: Drizzle the sweetened condensed milk evenly over the top of the layers.
  6. Bake Again: Return the pan to the oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  7. Cool and Slice: Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares.

Notes

Customize with your favorite nuts or chocolate varieties.

For a firmer texture, refrigerate the bars before slicing.

These bars can be stored at room temperature for up to 5 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
