Ingredients

1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips

1 red bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow bell pepper, sliced

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 medium red onion, sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp cumin

½ tsp smoked paprika

½ tsp garlic powder

½ tsp onion powder

½ tsp salt

¼ tsp black pepper

¼ tsp cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Juice of 1 lime

8 small flour or corn tortillas

Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Sliced avocado, sour cream, or salsa for serving (optional)


Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, toss the sliced chicken, bell peppers, and onions with olive oil and spices (chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, black pepper, and cayenne if using).
  3. Spread the seasoned chicken and vegetables evenly in the air fryer basket.
  4. Air fry for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is fully cooked and the vegetables are slightly charred.
  5. Squeeze fresh lime juice over the fajita mixture and toss gently.
  6. Warm the tortillas in the air fryer for 1-2 minutes.
  7. Serve the fajitas in tortillas, garnished with cilantro and your favorite toppings.
