Ingredients
2 slices of bread (white, whole wheat, sourdough, etc.)
2 tablespoons butter or margarine, softened
2–3 slices of cheese (cheddar, American, or your choice)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
- Spread softened butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
- Assemble the sandwich with the cheese slices between the unbuttered sides of the bread, buttered sides facing out.
- Place the sandwich in the air fryer basket. Use a parchment liner if desired to prevent sticking.
- Air fry for 4-5 minutes, flip the sandwich, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let the grilled cheese cool for 1-2 minutes before slicing and serving.
