Ingredients

1 cup apple butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup packed brown sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup heavy cream
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Prepare the Crust:
- In a medium bowl, mix the flour and salt.
- Cut in butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add ice water until the dough just comes together.
- Shape the dough into a disc, wrap in plastic, and chill for 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough, fit it into a 9-inch pie dish, and trim/crimp edges.
- Preheat Oven:
- Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Filling:
- In a large bowl, whisk together all filling ingredients until smooth.
- Assemble the Pie:
- Pour the filling into the prepared crust, smoothing the top.
- Bake:
- Bake for 50–60 minutes or until the center is set. Cover crust edges with foil if browning too quickly.
- Cool and Serve:
