Description

These soft and spiced Baked Pumpkin Donuts with Maple Glaze are the ultimate fall treat. Made with warm spices and a sweet maple glaze, they’re perfect for cozy mornings or an indulgent snack. Baked instead of fried, they offer a healthier option without sacrificing flavor. Ready in just 30 minutes, these donuts are easy to make and even easier to enjoy!

Ingredients

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 ½ teaspoons baking powder

½ teaspoon baking soda

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

½ teaspoon salt

½ cup light brown sugar, packed

½ cup canned pumpkin puree

½ cup whole milk

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

For the Maple Glaze:

1 ½ cups powdered sugar

¼ cup pure maple syrup

2 tablespoons whole milk

½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, combine brown sugar, pumpkin puree, milk, melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Spoon the batter into the donut pan, filling each cavity ¾ full.
  6. Bake for 13-15 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let the donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  7. While the donuts cool, whisk together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, milk, and vanilla extract to make the glaze.
  8. Once the donuts are completely cool, dip the tops into the glaze. Let the glaze set before serving.

Notes

To prevent the donuts from sticking, make sure to grease the pan thoroughly.

For added texture, sprinkle crushed pecans on the glaze before it sets.

If you don’t have a donut pan, use a muffin tin and adjust the baking time to 15-18 minutes.
