Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup diced onion
1 cup pizza sauce
1 tsp Italian seasoning
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 package (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup sliced pepperoni
1/2 cup sliced black olives
1/2 cup chopped bell peppers
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium heat until beef is browned and onion is translucent. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in pizza sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into a greased 9-inch pie dish to form a crust.
- Spoon the beef mixture evenly into the crust.
- Top with shredded mozzarella, pepperoni, olives, and bell peppers.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Let the pie cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
Customize the toppings by adding mushrooms, jalapenos, or extra cheese.
To avoid a soggy crust, ensure the beef mixture is drained well and slightly cooled before adding to the dough.
The pie can be made ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
