1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp ground cinnamon
3 cups old-fashioned oats
1 cup raisins
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each. Stir in vanilla extract.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- Incorporate Oats and Raisins: Stir in oats, raisins, and optional walnuts.
- Shape and Bake: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
