Description

Ingredients

4 large ripe tomatoes, diced

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

2 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Crostini or crackers, for serving


Instructions

  1. Prepare the Tomatoes:
    Place diced tomatoes in a colander, sprinkle with a pinch of salt, and let sit for 10 minutes to drain excess liquid.
  2. Mix the Ingredients:
    In a medium bowl, combine drained tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, and black pepper. Toss until well mixed.
  3. Optional Addition:
    Stir in grated Parmesan cheese for added flavor, if desired.
  4. Chill and Serve:
    Cover and refrigerate the dip for at least 15 minutes. Serve chilled with crostini or crackers.

Notes
