Description

A rich and creamy twist on classic lasagna, Cheesy Chicken Alfredo Lasagna combines tender chicken, indulgent Alfredo sauce, and layers of gooey cheese for a comforting, crowd-pleasing dish perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions.


Ingredients

9 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained

2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

2 cups Alfredo sauce (store-bought or homemade)

2 cups ricotta cheese

1 egg

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix ricotta cheese, egg, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning in a medium bowl.
  3. Spread a thin layer of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of the dish and place 3 lasagna noodles on top.
  4. Layer 1/3 of the ricotta mixture, 1/3 of the chicken, 1/3 of the Alfredo sauce, and 1/3 of the mozzarella cheese over the noodles.
  5. Repeat layers two more times, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for another 15 minutes, until golden and bubbly.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes, garnish with parsley, and serve.

Notes

For extra creaminess, use homemade Alfredo sauce made with butter, garlic, cream, and Parmesan.

Substitute chicken with vegetables for a vegetarian version.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.
