Description

Creamy and smooth homemade chocolate made with just three simple ingredients: cocoa powder, coconut oil, and maple syrup or honey. This easy-to-make recipe is perfect for quick desserts, snacking, or as a base for your favorite chocolate creations. A healthier alternative to store-bought chocolate, this treat is vegan-friendly, customizable, and ready in under 40 minutes.

Ingredients

1/2 cup (120g) cocoa powder

1/4 cup (60ml) melted coconut oil

1/4 cup (50g) maple syrup or honey

Instructions

  1. Sift the cocoa powder into a medium mixing bowl to remove any lumps.
  2. Add melted coconut oil to the bowl, stirring until smooth and glossy.
  3. Gradually incorporate the sweetener (maple syrup or honey) and adjust to taste.
  4. Pour the mixture into a silicone mold, lined baking dish, or onto parchment paper.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for 20–30 minutes until fully set.
  6. Break or cut into pieces and serve. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Notes

For firmer chocolate, add a tablespoon of cocoa butter or reduce the sweetener slightly.

This chocolate softens at room temperature, so keep it chilled for best texture.

Perfect for add-ins like nuts, dried fruits, or shredded coconut.
