Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled
Instructions
- Prepare the Cream Cheese Base
Beat softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer on medium speed until smooth and creamy (about 2–3 minutes). - Add Cocoa and Sugar
Gradually add cocoa powder and powdered sugar, mixing on low speed. Increase speed to medium and beat until fluffy. Mix in vanilla extract. - Whip the Cream
In a chilled bowl, beat heavy whipping cream on high speed until stiff peaks form (3–4 minutes). - Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture in batches, maintaining its light, fluffy texture. - Use or Store
Use immediately for frosting, or refrigerate in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Let sit at room temperature and re-whip before use if needed.
