Description

These Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Breadsticks are the perfect festive appetizer for your holiday gatherings. Combining creamy spinach dip with flaky, golden crescent roll dough, shaped like a Christmas tree, this delicious and eye-catching treat will surely be a hit at any Christmas party. It’s an easy-to-make, cheesy delight that’s both savory and fun, perfect for dipping and sharing!

Ingredients

For the Spinach Dip:

1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1 cup frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/4 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

For the Breadsticks:

2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Optional: sesame seeds or grated Parmesan for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix the cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, spinach, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until well combined. Set aside.
  3. Roll out one can of crescent roll dough onto the prepared baking sheet and pinch the seams together to form a single sheet.
  4. Spread the spinach dip evenly over the dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border.
  5. Roll out the second can of dough and place it on top of the spinach dip, pressing gently to seal the edges.
  6. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to shape the dough into a large triangle resembling a Christmas tree. Reserve any excess dough for decorations if desired.
  7. Cut horizontal slices along the sides of the triangle, leaving a 1-inch “trunk” in the center. Twist each slice to create tree branches.
  8. Brush the entire tree with the beaten egg and sprinkle with sesame seeds or Parmesan if desired.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown and puffed. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

You can prepare the breadsticks ahead of time by assembling them and refrigerating them for up to 24 hours before baking.

Feel free to add extra toppings like crushed garlic or herbs to customize the flavor of the breadsticks.

The leftover spinach dip can be used as a dip for crackers, chips, or veggies.
