Description

Luscious, smooth, and tangy cream cheese frosting perfect for cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and more. Ready in just 10 minutes, it’s a quick, versatile, and irresistible addition to your favorite desserts.

Ingredients

8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened

4 cups (500 g) powdered sugar, sifted

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

12 tbsp milk or heavy cream (optional, for consistency)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat softened cream cheese and butter with an electric mixer until smooth and creamy (about 2-3 minutes).
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar, one cup at a time, mixing on low speed. Increase to medium-high speed once incorporated, and beat until well blended.
  3. Add vanilla extract and beat for another minute.
  4. Adjust consistency if needed: add milk/heavy cream one tablespoon at a time if too thick, or more powdered sugar for a thicker consistency.
  5. Use immediately or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Before using, bring to room temperature and rewhip.

Notes

Variations: Try lemon, chocolate, cinnamon, or vegan versions for unique twists.

Storage: Refrigerate for up to one week or freeze for up to three months. Rewhip before use.
