Instructions
- Cream the butter, cream cheese, and sugar together until light and fluffy using an electric mixer.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using) until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until a dough forms.
- Divide dough into two discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and chill for at least 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Roll out dough to 1/4-inch thickness on a floured surface. Use cookie cutters to create desired shapes.
