Description

This Creamy Garlic White Pizza Sauce is rich, velvety, and packed with flavor! Made with butter, garlic, Parmesan, and herbs, it’s the perfect homemade alternative to store-bought sauces. Ready in just 10 minutes, this versatile sauce works for pizza, pasta, breadsticks, and more.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons unsalted butter

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 cup whole milk

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

1/2 teaspoon dried basil

Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. Whisk in flour and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Gradually add milk and heavy cream, whisking continuously to prevent lumps. Bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Stir in Parmesan cheese, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Remove from heat, let cool slightly, and use as desired. Store any leftovers in an airtight container.

Notes

For extra cheesiness, mix in shredded mozzarella.

To make it dairy-free, swap butter for olive oil and use almond or oat milk.

For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.

Store in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for 2 months.
