Ingredients
For the cookies:
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 cup powdered sugar

2–3 tablespoons milk (adjust for consistency)
Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in eggs, vanilla extract, and pumpkin puree until smooth.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop 2-tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets. Bake for 12-14 minutes. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
- Make the Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, pumpkin puree, cinnamon, and milk until smooth. Adjust consistency with milk or powdered sugar as needed.
- Decorate: Once cookies are cool, spread or drizzle glaze on top. Let set before serving.
