Description

Dragon Sauce is a fiery, sweet, and tangy sauce made with ginger, garlic, chili flakes, and honey, perfect for drizzling, dipping, or tossing with your favorite dishes. This versatile condiment adds bold flavor to stir-fries, grilled meats, and roasted vegetables, elevating your meals with its spicy-sweet kick. Ready in just 10 minutes, this quick and easy sauce is a must-try for those who love heat and flavor!

Ingredients

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1/2-inch piece of fresh ginger, minced

1 large garlic clove, minced

1 tablespoon cornstarch

4 tablespoons water

1 teaspoon chili flakes

2 tablespoons white vinegar

3 tablespoons honey

2 tablespoons soy sauce (use gluten-free if needed)

2 tablespoons tomato paste

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the minced ginger and garlic, sautéing for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  2. In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water to form a slurry.
  3. Stir in chili flakes, white vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and tomato paste into the saucepan. Mix well to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then slowly pour in the cornstarch slurry, stirring constantly. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens to your desired consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Adjust the heat level by increasing or decreasing the chili flakes to suit your taste.

For a gluten-free version, use a gluten-free soy sauce alternative.

This sauce is great for grilling, dipping, or as a glaze for meats and vegetables.

Dragon Sauce can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 1 week or frozen for up to 3 months.
