If you’re a fan of the warm, gooey goodness of cinnamon rolls but don’t have the time to roll and bake them from scratch, you’re in for a treat! This Easy Cinnamon Roll Cake captures all the delightful flavors of traditional cinnamon rolls in a straightforward, fuss-free cake. Perfect for breakfast, dessert, or any cozy occasion, this cake is sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

3 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup granulated sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

4 teaspoons baking powder

1 1/2 cups milk

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

For the Cinnamon Swirl:

1 cup brown sugar, packed

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

34 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or butter.
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, granulated sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in the milk, eggs, vanilla extract, and melted butter until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix together the brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, and softened butter to make the cinnamon swirl. Drop spoonfuls of this mixture over the cake batter, then use a knife to swirl it into the batter, creating a marbled effect.
  4. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract in a small bowl.
  6. Once the cake is done, allow it to cool slightly. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake for an extra touch of sweetness.

Notes

For best flavor, serve the cake warm.

Feel free to customize by adding nuts or chocolate chips to the batter.

Store leftovers covered at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.
