Description

This Easy Lemon Mousse recipe is a light, creamy, and refreshing dessert perfect for any occasion. With a tangy-sweet flavor and an elegant presentation, it’s made with just a few simple ingredients in minimal time. A must-try for fans of citrusy treats!

Ingredients

1 cup heavy whipping cream, chilled

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (approximately 2 lemons)

1 tablespoon lemon zest

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, whip the chilled heavy cream with an electric mixer on medium speed until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add the granulated sugar while continuing to whip until stiff peaks form. Be careful not to overwhip.
  3. In a separate bowl, combine the fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gently fold the lemon mixture into the whipped cream using a spatula until fully incorporated.
  5. Spoon the lemon mousse into serving glasses or bowls and smooth the tops.
  6. Chill the mousse in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours to set.
  7. Before serving, garnish with lemon zest, a sprig of mint, or a thin lemon slice.

Notes

Avoid overwhipping the cream to prevent a grainy texture.

Fresh lemon juice yields the best flavor, but bottled juice can be used in a pinch.

Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended.
