4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1/4 teaspoon salt
For the Topping:
1/2 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the cubed sweet potatoes for 10-15 minutes, or until fork-tender. Drain and return them to the pot.
- Mash the sweet potatoes until smooth using a potato masher or fork.
- Stir in the milk, melted butter, brown sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Mix until smooth and combined.
- Transfer the sweet potato mixture to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish and spread evenly.
