Hoisin Beef Noodles is a quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring tender beef, crisp vegetables, and savory hoisin sauce tossed with noodles. Perfect for busy weeknights!
Ingredients
8 ounces rice noodles or lo mein noodles
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 pound beef sirloin or flank steak, thinly sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 carrots, julienned
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup hoisin sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1 teaspoon grated ginger
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
2 green onions, chopped
Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles per package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Stir-fry beef for 2–3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, stir-fry broccoli, bell pepper, carrots, and garlic for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- Whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Return beef to the skillet, pour in the sauce, and stir to coat.
- Add noodles to the skillet, tossing until combined and heated through.
- Serve garnished with green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
Notes
For a vegetarian option, replace beef with tofu or tempeh.
Customize with your favorite vegetables like mushrooms, snap peas, or bok choy.
To prevent noodles from sticking, rinse them in cold water after cooking and toss with a small amount of oil.
