Description

This smooth and rich Hot Fudge recipe is perfect for drizzling over desserts like ice cream, cakes, or brownies. Made with simple pantry staples, it’s quick to prepare, indulgent, and easy to customize for a touch of chocolate decadence.

Ingredients

1/2 cup unsalted butter

1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk

1/4 cup whole milk (or heavy cream for extra richness)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter.
  2. Stir in the cocoa powder and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  3. Gradually add the sweetened condensed milk while stirring. Cook until the mixture thickens.
  4. Slowly add the milk or heavy cream, stirring, and let the mixture come to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract and a pinch of salt.
  6. Serve warm over your favorite desserts.

Notes

The sauce thickens as it cools. Reheat with a splash of milk or cream for the desired consistency.

Store in the refrigerator for up to one week, or freeze for up to three months.
