Description

A zesty and moist Orange Jello Cake packed with vibrant citrus flavor, topped with a light orange glaze. Perfect for any occasion, this easy-to-make dessert will brighten up your day.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

1 box white or yellow cake mix (15.25 oz)

1 package orange Jello (3 oz)

4 large eggs

¾ cup vegetable oil

¾ cup water

½ cup orange juice

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons orange juice

1 teaspoon orange zest

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix and dry orange Jello powder.
  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, water, and orange juice. Mix with an electric mixer on medium speed for 2-3 minutes until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into the prepared dish and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  5. While baking, prepare the glaze. In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, orange juice, and orange zest until smooth.
  6. Cool the cake for 10 minutes, then poke holes across the top using a fork or skewer.
  7. Drizzle the glaze over the warm cake and let it soak in.
  8. Allow the cake to cool completely before slicing and serving.

Notes

Substitute orange juice with lemon juice or water with orange extract if desired.

This cake tastes better when chilled, making it perfect for warm days.

Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
