Ingredients
250g paneer, cubed
1 cup thick curd (yogurt), whisked
1 onion, finely chopped
2 tomatoes, pureed
2 green chilies, slit
1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
1 tablespoon oil
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala
Salt to taste
Fresh coriander leaves for garnish
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. Let them splutter.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Stir in the ginger-garlic paste and green chilies, cooking until fragrant.
- Add the tomato puree and cook until the oil separates from the sides.
- Mix in turmeric, coriander, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Lower the heat and slowly add whisked curd, stirring continuously to avoid curdling.
- Add paneer cubes to the gravy and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
- Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
