Description

Soft and fluffy peachy cinnamon rolls are the perfect combination of warm cinnamon spice and juicy peaches, finished with a creamy vanilla glaze. A delightful treat for breakfast, brunch, or dessert

Ingredients

For the Dough:

3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast

1/2 teaspoon salt

3/4 cup warm milk (110°F or 45°C)

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg

For the Filling:

1 cup fresh or canned peaches, finely chopped

1/3 cup brown sugar

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

2 tablespoons unsalted butter, softened

For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough:
    • In a large bowl, combine 2 cups of flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Add warm milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix until smooth.
    • Gradually add remaining flour until a soft dough forms. Knead for 6–8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
    • Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
  2. Make the Filling:
    • In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Roll and Fill Dough:
    • Punch down the dough and roll into a 12×18-inch rectangle.
    • Spread softened butter over the dough, sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar, and evenly distribute chopped peaches.
  4. Shape the Rolls:
    • Roll tightly into a log. Slice into 12 pieces and place in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
    • Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  5. Bake:
    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake rolls for 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  6. Prepare the Glaze:
    • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

For the best texture, ensure the milk is warm (not hot) to activate the yeast.

Use fresh or well-drained canned peaches to avoid excess moisture in the filling.

Rolls can be frozen before or after baking; thaw overnight before reheating or glazing.
