Description

A cozy autumn dessert, Pumpkin Spice Apple Crisp blends tender apples and warm pumpkin flavors with a buttery oat topping. Perfect for fall gatherings or a quiet night in, this easy recipe is a seasonal favorite.

Ingredients

3 large apples, sliced

1 cup canned pumpkin puree

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup rolled oats

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup butter, softened

1 teaspoon pumpkin spice

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a baking dish, layer the sliced apples and top with pumpkin puree. Sprinkle cinnamon and pumpkin spice evenly.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix rolled oats, flour, brown sugar, butter, and salt until crumbly.
  4. Spread the topping over the apple and pumpkin layer.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden and apples are tender.
  6. Let cool slightly and serve warm. Optional: top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheating: Microwave individual portions for 30-60 seconds or reheat in a 300°F (150°C) oven for 10-15 minutes.

For best results, use firm, tart apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp.

Add a tablespoon of cornstarch to the apple layer to prevent excess moisture.
