Ingredients

8 slices of rye bread, cubed

1 pound thinly sliced or shredded corned beef

1 can (14 ounces) sauerkraut, drained and rinsed

2 cups grated Swiss cheese

1 cup Thousand Island dressing


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Cube the rye bread, shred or thinly slice the corned beef, and drain and rinse the sauerkraut.
  3. Layer half of the cubed rye bread in the baking dish, then half of the corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese. Drizzle with half of the Thousand Island dressing.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.
  5. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Let cool slightly before serving. Cut into squares and serve hot.

Notes
