Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

1 1/2 cups Rice Krispies cereal

Optional: 1/2 cup white chocolate chips or sprinkles


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (2–3 minutes).
  3. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
  4. In another bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually combine with the wet ingredients.

  6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared sheet, spacing 2 inches apart. Flatten slightly.
