Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/4 cup milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 packet brown gravy mix
2 cups beef broth
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Roll the mixture into meatballs, about 1.5 inches in diameter.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the meatballs on all sides for about 5-7 minutes.
- Remove meatballs from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add brown gravy mix and beef broth, stirring to combine. Scrape any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
- Return meatballs to the skillet and simmer in the gravy for 20-25 minutes until fully cooked and the gravy thickens.
- Serve the meatballs with the rich gravy spooned over the top.
Notes
You can make the meatballs ahead of time and store them in the fridge for up to 24 hours before cooking.
For a vegetarian version, use plant-based meat or lentils in place of the ground beef.
If the gravy is too thin, thicken it with a mixture of cornstarch and water.
For extra flavor, try adding fresh herbs like parsley or thyme to the meatballs.
