Description

Crispy and tender salmon patties, made with canned or fresh salmon, are a quick and flavorful meal ready in just 20 minutes! Perfect for weeknight dinners or meal prep, these patties are versatile, customizable, and pair well with your favorite dipping sauce.

Ingredients

2 cups cooked salmon (or one 14.75 oz canned salmon, drained)

1/2 cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for gluten-free)

2 large eggs

1/4 cup mayonnaise

2 tablespoons Dijon mustard

2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 cup onion, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

Salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons olive oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together salmon, breadcrumbs, eggs, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, parsley, onion, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Combine thoroughly.
  2. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape each into a patty.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove from skillet and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  6. Serve warm with tartar sauce, lemon aioli, or your preferred dipping sauce.

Notes

For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with almond flour or gluten-free breadcrumbs.

To reduce oil, bake the patties at 375°F for 15-20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

Customize the flavors with fresh herbs like dill or cilantro.
