Description

This succulent shrimp in creamy garlic-paprika sauce is the perfect combination of tender shrimp, savory garlic, smoky paprika, and creamy goodness. Quick and easy to prepare, it makes a fantastic dinner for any occasion.

Ingredients

1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

1/2 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup chicken broth

Salt and pepper to taste

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add both smoked paprika, regular paprika, and red pepper flakes (if desired). Stir to combine.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and let simmer for 2 minutes.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and cook for another 3-4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss in the sauce. Cook for 2 more minutes to heat through.
  8. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.

Notes

Add veggies like spinach, mushrooms, or bell peppers for extra flavor.

For a spicier version, increase the red pepper flakes or add cayenne pepper.

Substitute shrimp with chicken or scallops for a different protein.

Use coconut cream or a dairy-free cream substitute for a dairy-free option.
