Let’s dive into this easy-to-make recipe that brings bakery-quality flavor straight to your home kitchen.

Ingredients

For the Cake:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup sour cream

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt

For the Cinnamon Streusel Topping:

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1/4 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract and sour cream.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
  4. In a medium bowl, prepare the streusel by combining brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Stir in melted butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Spread half of the batter into the baking dish. Sprinkle half of the streusel topping over it, add remaining batter, then finish with the rest of the streusel.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let cool slightly before serving.
