Description

Soft, fluffy, and golden brown, these 30 Minute Rolls are a quick and easy homemade bread option with no yeast or rising time required.


Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon sugar

3/4 cup milk

1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 large egg


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or light grease.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar.
  3. In another bowl, mix the milk, melted butter, and egg until combined.
  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 5-6 times until smooth.
  6. Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and shape into rolls. Place on the prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown and baked through.
  8. Optional: Brush with extra melted butter before serving.

Add cheese or garlic powder for a savory variation.

Add honey or cinnamon sugar for a sweet version.

Can be made into mini slider buns by shaping smaller and adjusting baking time.
