Description

Crispy, golden, cinnamon-sugar-coated apple fries made effortlessly in the air fryer. A lighter sweet treat perfect for snacking or dessert, with a deep-fried texture and classic apple pie flavor.

Ingredients

2 large apples (such as Fuji or Honeycrisp)

1/2 cup flour (all-purpose or gluten-free)

2 eggs

1 cup crushed graham crackers or breadcrumbs

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon cinnamon

Cooking spray or oil for greasing

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice the apples into fry-shaped sticks.
  2. Prepare a breading station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with crushed graham crackers mixed with sugar and cinnamon.
  3. Dip each apple stick first in flour, then in the egg, and finally coat thoroughly in the graham cracker mixture.
  4. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  5. Arrange the apple fries in a single layer in the basket, without overcrowding. Cook in batches if necessary.
  6. Air fry at 380°F (193°C) for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  7. Serve warm with caramel sauce, whipped cream, or vanilla yogurt if desired.

Notes

Use sweet, firm apples like Fuji or Honeycrisp for best results.

For a gluten-free version, use almond flour and gluten-free graham crackers.

Switch up the coating with crushed cornflakes or oat-based granola for extra crunch.

To reheat, air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 3–5 minutes to restore crispiness.

Avoid the microwave as it makes the fries soggy.
