Description

Air Fryer Cherry Pie Taquitos are a quick and delicious dessert featuring cherry pie filling wrapped in flour tortillas, air-fried until golden, and coated in cinnamon sugar. Crispy on the outside and gooey inside, they’re perfect for a fast treat or party snack.


Ingredients

6 small flour tortillas

1 cup cherry pie filling

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 tablespoon melted butter (or spray oil for lighter version)


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Set aside.
  2. Lay out the flour tortillas and spoon about 2 tablespoons of cherry pie filling down the center of each.
  3. Roll the tortillas tightly into taquito shapes. Use toothpicks to secure if needed.
  4. Brush the outside of each taquito with melted butter or spray with oil for a lighter version.
  5. Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
  6. Place the taquitos seam-side down in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 6–8 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  8. Remove the taquitos and immediately roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture while still warm.
  9. Serve immediately with optional toppings like whipped cream, vanilla ice cream, or a drizzle of chocolate or caramel.

Notes

Swap cherry pie filling with apple, blueberry, or peach for a twist.

Add chocolate chips or crushed nuts for extra texture.

Use flavored tortillas like cinnamon or chocolate for added sweetness.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days.

Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 2–3 minutes to regain crispiness.
