Description
Flaky crescent rolls filled with gooey chocolate hazelnut spread and chocolate chips, air-fried to golden perfection. A quick, indulgent treat perfect for breakfast, dessert, or snacking.
Ingredients
1 (8 oz / ~235 g) can ready-to-bake crescent rolls (8 triangles)
½ cup (about 120 ml) chocolate-hazelnut spread (e.g., Nutella)
¼ cup (≈ 45 g) milk or semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 tablespoon melted butter (optional, for brushing)
Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 325°F (163°C).
- Unroll crescent-roll dough and separate into 8 triangle pieces.
- Spread about 1½ teaspoons of chocolate-hazelnut spread on the wide end of each triangle.
- Sprinkle about ½ tablespoon of chocolate chips over the spread.
- Roll each triangle from the wide end to the tip to form a crescent shape, tucking the sides slightly to seal the filling.
- Optional: Brush the tops of the crescents with melted butter for extra browning.
- Place crescents in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring space between each.
- Air-fry for 6–7 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed. Monitor closely as air fryer models may vary.
- Remove carefully and dust with powdered sugar before serving warm.
Notes
Use Nutella or any chocolate-hazelnut spread that is not too runny.
Customize fillings with peanut butter, white or dark chocolate, fruit preserves, or bananas.
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or refrigerate for up to 4 days.
To reheat, air fry at 300°F (150°C) for 2–3 minutes. Avoid microwaving to retain flakiness.
You can freeze unbaked, filled crescents and air fry from frozen with 1–2 extra minutes cook time.
