Description
These air fryer churros are crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and coated in a sweet cinnamon sugar mixture. They deliver the classic churro flavor without the need for deep frying.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup water
2 tablespoons granulated sugar
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup granulated sugar (for coating)
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions
- Combine the water, 2 tablespoons sugar, vegetable oil, vanilla extract, and salt in a medium saucepan over medium heat and bring to a gentle boil.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the flour and baking powder until a thick dough forms and pulls away from the sides.
- Allow the dough to cool for about 5 minutes, then transfer it to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Pipe strips of dough about 4 to 5 inches long directly into the basket, leaving space between each piece.
- Lightly spray the tops of the churros with cooking spray.
- Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until golden brown and crisp.
- Mix 1/2 cup granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
- While the churros are still warm, roll them in the cinnamon sugar mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve immediately with chocolate sauce, caramel, or dulce de leche if desired.

Serve warm for the best texture and flavor.
For variation, add a pinch of nutmeg to the cinnamon sugar mixture.
