Ingredients
1 cup raw pumpkin seeds (cleaned and rinsed)
1 teaspoon olive oil or avocado oil
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
- Separate the pumpkin seeds from the pulp and rinse them thoroughly.
- Pat the seeds completely dry using a clean towel or paper towels.
- In a medium bowl, toss the seeds with oil, salt, garlic powder, paprika (if using), and black pepper until evenly coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C) for 3 minutes.
- Spread the seasoned seeds in a single layer in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry for 10–15 minutes, shaking the basket every 5 minutes for even cooking.
- Remove when golden brown and crispy, and let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Make sure seeds are thoroughly dry before air frying for maximum crispiness.
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
Re-crisp in the air fryer for 2–3 minutes if they soften over time.
Customize flavors with maple syrup and cinnamon, cayenne for heat, or lemon zest and cumin.
