Description

Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, these air fryer salmon patties are a quick, healthy, and flavorful meal made with pantry staples like canned salmon and breadcrumbs. Ideal for busy weeknights or light lunches, they come together in under 25 minutes with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

14.75 oz canned salmon (drained and flaked)

1 large egg

3 tablespoons mayonnaise

¼ cup panko breadcrumbs

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

½ teaspoon dried dill

¼ teaspoon onion powder

¼ teaspoon garlic powder

¼ teaspoon kosher salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)

Olive oil nonstick cooking spray

Lemon wedges and tartar sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the canned salmon, egg, mayonnaise, panko, lemon juice, dill, onion powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and parsley (if using). Mix just until incorporated.
  3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and gently shape them into patties.
  4. Place the patties in the air fryer basket in a single layer and lightly spray the tops with cooking spray.
  5. Air fry at 390°F for 10–12 minutes, flipping halfway through for even browning.
  6. Once golden and cooked through, serve warm with lemon wedges and tartar sauce.

Notes

Add chopped celery or red bell pepper for extra crunch and flavor.

Use gluten-free breadcrumbs for a gluten-free version.

Add cayenne pepper or hot sauce for a spicier variation.

Leftover cooked fresh salmon can be used instead of canned salmon.

Store in the fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 2 months.

Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F for 4–5 minutes until warmed through.
