Description

This Baked Cranberry Cream Cheese Dip is a rich, creamy appetizer featuring tangy cream cheese swirled with sweet-tart cranberry sauce and topped with a golden, flaky puff pastry crust. Perfect for holiday gatherings, Thanksgiving, Christmas, or any festive occasion, this easy-to-make dip is both elegant and irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup powdered sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup whole berry cranberry sauce

1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

1 sheet puff pastry, thawed

1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Crackers, bread, or veggies for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
  2. In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  3. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the prepared dish.
  4. Spoon cranberry sauce over the mixture and swirl it in using a knife or spatula. Sprinkle with nuts if using.
  5. Lay the puff pastry over the top, trimming excess and pressing the edges lightly against the sides.
  6. Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
  7. Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden brown and flaky.
  8. Let cool slightly and serve with crackers, bread, or fresh veggies.

Notes

Savory Option: Omit powdered sugar and add a pinch of salt or crumbled bacon.

Spiced Version: Stir in cinnamon or nutmeg for a holiday flavor.

Nut-Free Alternative: Skip the nuts or use toasted sunflower seeds.

Cheese Blend: Mix in shredded cheddar or gouda for extra cheesiness.

Phyllo Dough Alternative: Use layers of buttered phyllo dough instead of puff pastry.
