Description

This Baked Garlic Butter Cajun Cod recipe is quick, flavorful, and easy to make, with perfectly baked cod fillets in a rich garlic butter sauce and a hint of Cajun spice. It’s a healthy, delicious, and satisfying meal for any occasion

Ingredients

4 cod fillets

3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

4 cloves garlic, minced

1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning

1 teaspoon smoked paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  3. Place the cod fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush them generously with the garlic butter mixture.
  4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is cooked through and easily flakes with a fork.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve with lemon wedges on the side for extra flavor.

Notes

For an extra spicy kick, add more Cajun seasoning or a pinch of cayenne pepper.

Substitute fresh thyme or oregano for parsley to switch up the flavor profile.

Serve with roasted vegetables or a simple salad for a complete meal.
