Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1″ pieces
1 cup cornstarch
2 large eggs
1/4 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
2 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325F. Line a 13 x 9-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Season chicken with salt and pepper. Place in a ziploc bag with cornstarch and shake to coat.
- Beat eggs in a shallow bowl. Heat oil in a skillet until sizzling.
- Dip chicken in eggs, then sear in skillet until golden. Place in prepared pan.
- Combine sugar, ketchup, vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, and sea salt. Pour over chicken.
- Bake for 1 hour, tossing halfway.
