Description

A wholesome and vet-friendly homemade dog food made with lean ground beef, brown rice, and nutritious vegetables for a balanced and nourishing meal.

Ingredients

1 pound lean ground beef

1 cup brown rice

2 cups water

1 cup carrots, finely chopped

1 cup green beans, chopped

1/2 cup peas

1 tablespoon olive oil

1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric (optional)

1/2 teaspoon dried parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Combine the brown rice and water in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 35–40 minutes until rice is tender and fully cooked.
  3. While the rice cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  4. Add ground beef and cook thoroughly, breaking it apart until browned and no pink remains. Drain excess fat if necessary.
  5. Stir in chopped carrots and green beans and cook for 5–7 minutes until slightly softened.
  6. Add peas and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  7. Mix the cooked rice into the beef and vegetable mixture until well combined.
  8. Stir in turmeric and parsley if using.
  9. Allow the food to cool completely before serving.
