Ingredients

1 cup (226g) unsalted butter, softened

1 cup (200g) granulated sugar

1 cup (220g) brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 1/2 cups (315g) all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

1 cup white chocolate chips

1 cup crushed pretzels

1/2 cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

1/2 cup dried cranberries or raisins

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup festive sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

Step 1: Preheat and Prepare

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.

Step 2: Make the Dough
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.

Step 3: Mix Dry Ingredients
4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Step 4: Add the Mix-Ins
5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, pretzels, nuts, cranberries, coconut, and sprinkles.

Step 5: Shape and Bake
6. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough and place them on the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Step 6: Cool and Serve
8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

Customizable: Swap in your favorite mix-ins like toffee bits, M&Ms, or crushed candy canes.

Storage: Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze the dough for later use.
