Description

These Billion Dollar Buttery Biscuits are ultra-soft, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Made with just four simple ingredients—salted butter, Bisquick, 7-Up, and sour cream—these biscuits are the ultimate comfort food. The combination of soda and sour cream creates a light, fluffy texture, while the melted butter adds a golden, crisp edge. Perfect for any occasion, these biscuits are a must-try for anyone craving an easy, buttery treat.

Ingredients

½ cup (1 stick) salted butter

4 ½ cups Bisquick or similar baking mix

1 cup 7-Up or similar lemon-lime soda

1 cup sour cream (avoid using light sour cream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Place the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and melt it in the preheating oven. Keep an eye on it to prevent burning.
  3. In a large bowl, combine the Bisquick, sour cream, and 7-Up. Stir gently until just combined—do not overmix, as the dough will be soft and sticky.
  4. Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and gently pat it down to about ½-inch thickness.
  5. Using a biscuit cutter or floured glass, cut out the biscuits.
  6. Arrange the biscuits directly in the baking dish with the melted butter.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until the tops are golden brown.
  8. Allow the biscuits to cool slightly before serving warm.

Notes

For a cheesy version, add shredded cheddar to the dough.

To add flavor, mix in garlic powder or brush the biscuits with garlic butter.

Fresh herbs like parsley or chives are great for an herb-infused twist.

If you want a sweeter biscuit, add a tablespoon of sugar and drizzle honey on top after baking.
