Description

Indulge in these rich and chewy blondies, made with brown sugar and a hint of vanilla. Perfect for any occasion, these buttery treats can be customized with your favorite mix-ins, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or candies. Easy to make and deliciously satisfying, blondies are the perfect dessert for sharing with family and friends!

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled

1 ½ cups light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

¼ teaspoon baking soda

½ teaspoon salt

1 cup chocolate chips (optional)

½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Wet Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, whisking until combined.
  3. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  4. Add Mix-ins (Optional): Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if desired.
  5. Bake: Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  6. Cool and Serve: Let the blondies cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then lift out using the parchment and slice into squares.

Notes

To achieve the best texture, avoid overmixing the batter.

Store blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 4 days or refrigerate for up to 1 week.

For long-term storage, wrap in plastic and foil, and freeze for up to 3 months.
