Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 cup fresh blueberries
1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat & Prepare: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
- Mix Wet Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the melted butter and sugar until smooth. Add the eggs and vanilla extract and mix well.
- Combine Dry Ingredients: Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Stir until just combined.
- Fold in Additions: Gently fold in the blueberries and chocolate chips (if using).
- Bake: Pour the batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Cool & Serve: Let the brownies cool completely before slicing into squares. Enjoy!
Notes
Nutty Twist: Add chopped walnuts or pecans for extra crunch.
White Chocolate Version: Swap dark chocolate chips for white chocolate for a sweeter contrast.
Berry Mix: Try adding raspberries or blackberries for more fruity flavors.
Gluten-Free Option: Use a 1:1 gluten-free flour blend.
Extra Fudgy: Slightly underbake them for an even gooier texture.
