1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large egg

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, ground flaxseeds, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the honey (or maple syrup), applesauce, vanilla extract, and egg until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Gently fold in the blueberries, being careful not to crush them.
- Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the bars to cool completely before cutting into squares.
