Description

Indulge in these rich and flavorful Browned Butter Blondies, made with nutty browned butter, packed brown sugar, and optional white chocolate chips and nuts. Perfect for any occasion, these blondies are easy to prepare and guarantee a delightful treat that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter

1 cup light brown sugar, packed

1/2 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

1 cup white chocolate chips or chunks (optional)

1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Continue cooking, swirling the pan occasionally, until the butter turns golden brown and develops a nutty aroma. Be careful not to burn it. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, granulated sugar, and browned butter. Mix until well combined and smooth.
  4. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Fold in the white chocolate chips or chunks and chopped nuts, if using.
  8. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs (not wet batter).
  10. Allow the blondies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into squares.

Notes

Watch the butter closely while browning to prevent burning.

Do not overmix the batter to keep the blondies tender.

Feel free to customize with your favorite mix-ins like dark chocolate chips, toffee bits, or different types of nuts.
