Description

A no-bake, crispy chocolate-peanut butter snack mix loaded with crushed Butterfinger candy for a sweet, crunchy twist on the classic puppy chow. Perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime snacking.


Ingredients

6 cups Rice Chex cereal

1 cup semisweet chocolate chips

1/2 cup creamy peanut butter

1/4 cup butter (or coconut oil)

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1 1/4 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 5 fun-size bars)


Instructions

  1. Add Rice Chex cereal to a large mixing bowl and set aside.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.
  3. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is smooth and melted.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently mix until evenly coated.
  6. Add the crushed Butterfinger candy and gently stir to distribute.
  7. Transfer the mix into a large resealable plastic bag.
  8. Add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until evenly coated.
  9. Spread the puppy chow onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and set before storing.
