A no-bake, crispy chocolate-peanut butter snack mix loaded with crushed Butterfinger candy for a sweet, crunchy twist on the classic puppy chow. Perfect for parties, holidays, or anytime snacking.
Ingredients
6 cups Rice Chex cereal
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup butter (or coconut oil)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/4 cups crushed Butterfinger candy bars (about 5 fun-size bars)
Instructions
- Add Rice Chex cereal to a large mixing bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter.
- Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring each time, until the mixture is smooth and melted.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the chocolate mixture over the cereal and gently mix until evenly coated.
- Add the crushed Butterfinger candy and gently stir to distribute.
- Transfer the mix into a large resealable plastic bag.
- Add powdered sugar, seal the bag, and shake until evenly coated.
- Spread the puppy chow onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to cool and set before storing.

Can be chilled in the fridge for extra crunch or frozen for up to 2 months.
